I came across a Ted Talk that focused on why we tend to get stuck in the negatives and how to get unstuck. It was so interesting to hear that it is human nature to focus on the negatives, and it is far easier to go from good to bad, then bad to good. The psychologist, Alison Ledgerwood, shares some studies she conducted on this topic, and simple tips to get 'unstuck.'
It is a rainy day here in Northern California, which is welcomed but also a little gloomy. The weather outside has me dreaming of summer days lounging at the pool, a glass of Rose in hand, and your best friends by your side. Now doesn't that sound amazing?
Here are the details from the picture:
Thanks for reading, I'll be dreaming of the pool for the rest of the day if you need me!
I was feeling particularly stressed out today and couldn't quite shake the anxious feeling until I hit the treadmill and had a good sweat session! Even though sometimes I don't always feel like working out, it always helps me clear my mind and remember to reflect on all the things I am grateful for. Sunday nights always seem to suddenly appear, right? Although I wish everyday was the weekend, and I am known for admitting I get a strong case of the Sunday blues, I am trying to take a new attitude on Sundays. Approaching the work week with positive vibes, setting professional and personal goals, and reminding myself everything I am grateful for before I go to bed on Sundays, I am transforming the way I look at a new week! Monday is almost here, hello!

I love home decorating, fashion, beauty, and of course throwing a good party, all on a budget (who doesn't love getting a deal!). I am obsessed with gold, glitter, and animal prints but try not to overdo it (for the sake of my husband!) Gold spray paint is my go-to. I got married on 12/13/14 to my husband, Ben, and we recently bought our very first house outside of San Francisco, CA. My blog will be a mix of home design and DIY, parties I throw, random thoughts I have, and of course the scores I find when I am out (or online) shopping!
